As Philadelphia welcomed visitors from around the world for major celebrations, sporting events, and cultural experiences, you stepped up to greet guests, support events, and showcase the very best of our city. 🎨 Philly Phundamentals – Philly Made: Art Rooted in Place
This month’s virtual Philly Phundamentals explored Philadelphia’s rich artistic identity and the people, places, and institutions that have shaped it. Phambassadors heard how the city’s immigration history, neighborhoods, and creative spirit have influenced generations of artists through conversations highlighting the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and Philadelphia’s thriving theater community.
⛳ PHAM Happy Hour at Puttshack
July’s Pham Happy Hour brought members together at Puttshack for an evening of friendly competition and networking. Phambassadors enjoyed a complimentary round of mini golf, happy hour specials, and a redeemable drink voucher while relaxing with fellow volunteers and reflecting on all the hard work they’ve put in this summer.

Phambassadors helped kick off the Fourth of July festivities by participating in Historic Philadelphia’s Human Liberty Bell photo opportunity as part of Red, White, & Blue To Do, creating a memorable patriotic display celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
🎆 Salute to Independence Parade
While Mother Nature had other plans and the Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade was unfortunately canceled due to weather, our Phambassadors were ready to represent Philadelphia every step of the way. From signing up to preparing for their roles as Element Ambassadors, their enthusiasm and commitment to welcoming visitors didn’t go unnoticed. The heat may have canceled the parade, but it certainly didn’t dampen the Pham spirit!
🧁 America’s 250th Birthday Celebration
At the Independence Visitor Center, Phambassadors helped welcome families celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Visitors enjoyed patriotic cupcakes, interactive activities, live entertainment, and created commemorative Philadelphia 250 baseball caps during this festive community celebration.
✈️ Airport Ambassadors
Our Airport Ambassadors continued greeting travelers arriving and departing through Philadelphia International Airport, providing transportation guidance, visitor information, and recommendations that helped visitors feel at home from the moment they arrived.
👋 PHAM Greeters
Greeter volunteers continued welcoming guests throughout the city’s expanded visitor locations, including the Independence Visitor Center, LOVE Park, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and the Reading Terminal Market Pop-Up site, ensuring every visitor received a warm Philadelphia welcome.
⚾ MLB All-Star Week
During MLB All-Star Week, Phambassadors stepped up to welcome thousands of baseball fans visiting Philadelphia. Greeters provided wayfinding assistance, recommendations, and local insights while showcasing why Philadelphia is one of the country’s greatest sports cities.
🏃♀️ Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon
Volunteers supported the 9th Annual Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon by assisting with athlete check-in, transition areas, hydration stations, kids’ races, and finish line celebrations, helping create a successful race experience for participants.
💡 VetFest 2026
Phambassadors honored Philadelphia’s veteran community by supporting VetFest 2026, assisting with the recognition ceremony, community festival activities, and helping veterans and their families connect with valuable local resources.
🏛️ City Hall Tour Guides
This month also introduced a new volunteer opportunity for Phambassadors to become City Hall Tour Guides and Outreach Assistants. Volunteers can now share Philadelphia’s rich history and architecture with visitors through guided tours while continuing to serve as enthusiastic ambassadors for the city.

🏈 The Great American Tailgate
Phambassadors received an exclusive 50% discount to attend The Great American Tailgate at the National Liberty Museum, celebrating one of America’s favorite traditions through food, sports, and community while getting a first look at the new Sports Jawn exhibit featuring rare Philadelphia sports memorabilia.
Members enjoyed exclusive discounts to ArtPhilly’s citywide arts festival, including 50% off select performances such as Kea and the Ark and Basil Biggs, along with complimentary tickets to a special matinee performance of Basil Biggs.
Phambassadors rocked out with an exclusive Buy One, Get One Free offer for The Sound of America, an immersive musical experience following the extraordinary life of Benjamin Franklin through music, storytelling, and high-energy performances.

The Philadelphia Pride Visitor Center welcomed ACCT Philly for a special adoption event, giving Phambassadors the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs while supporting a meaningful community initiative.

Sports fans gathered for a unique community event featuring the Women’s Wimbledon Final and the WNBA matchup between the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. Hosted alongside The Hoop Bus and Stoop Pigeon by Watch Party PHL, the event celebrated sports, community, and connection with games, giveaways, raffles, and special guests.
