Yo, Phambassadors! It’s Rocky Season.
Fifty years ago, a long-shot fighter from South Philly laced [...]
Fifty years ago, a long-shot fighter from South Philly laced up his gloves, ran through the Italian Market at dawn, and charged up the Art Museum steps into movie history. This fall, Philadelphia is going the distance to celebrate 50 years of Rocky with Rocky Season presented by Bank of America, a citywide celebration of the film, the neighborhoods that made it iconic, and the underdog spirit that still has fans around the world throwing their arms in the air. And nobody knows that spirit better than the people who live it every day. That’s you, Pham.
The bell is ringing, and this is your corner. As a Phambassador, you’ve got exclusive access to opportunities to welcome visitors, share the stories behind the scenes and streets they’ve seen on screen, and show the world that the heart of Rocky has always been the heart of Philly. Whether you’re cheering on runners at the top of the steps or pointing fans toward the best cheesesteak between filming locations, every shift is a chance to go the full fifteen rounds for the city you love. So skip the raw eggs, lace up your sneakers, and jump into one of the events below. Don’t watch this one from the cheap seats.
