September in Philly can mean a lot of things – [...]
September in Philly can mean a lot of things – the start of the school year, the end of summer, the anticipation as the Phillies close out their season, and embracing the start of autumn in the Delaware Valley. Before everything transforms into pumpkins and ghouls, we’re stopping by several seasonal farm stands, celebratory block parties, and welcoming new Pham Campers.

Brazilian Day Festival – September 7th
We’ll be celebrating Brazil’s independence day with some good tunes, food, and dance on the waterfront.
Lunch with City Leaders – September 10
Our CEO & #1 Pham Kathryn Ott Lovell will be sharing insights and latest tea on all things 250. Whenever Kathryn is there, the Pham cheer squad is not far behind.
Phillies vs. Mets – September 11th
Nothing is more exciting than a series against a rival – so of course we’ll be cheering them on and greeting Phillies fans inside the first base gate to see the Phillies take on the Mets. Grab your baseball themed cheer cards and foam fingers as we inch closer to a red October.
Wharton Square Park Community Meeting – September 11th
The Pham is popping by the Wharton Square Park Community meeting to chat with the new FOWS Exec Board.
Spruce Street After Work Friday – September 12th
We’re kicking the weekend off by joining our friends at Spruce Street for a night of music, dancing, performances, food, drinks, and more. DJ Neeek Nyce will be spinning the tunes and we’ll be there with the swag.
Northeast Philly – here we come! The Phams will have some great family friendly giveaways for new signups.

The Mexican Independence Day Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration that pays homage to Mexico’s rich history and cultural heritage. Tacos, churros, and mariachi music – what more you could you ask for?
52nd & Haverford Farmers Market – September 17
The Food Trust’s seasonal farm stands are in full swing! We’re stopping by before the 52nd & Haverford market before it closes for the season in October. Come early to get the first pick of what the market has to offer.
Parks on Tap – Spring Garden – September 17
Our favorite traveling beer garden will be in the sprawling community garden of Spring Gardens. We cannot think of a better way to savor this autumnal season than to sit out and enjoy the beauty of nature while making some new friends.
Movies on the Mall – September 19
Join the Pham for our next installment of Movies on the Mall – a free outdoor screening of National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. Family friendly activities begin at 5:30; movie starts at 7:00 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket and we’ll supply the popcorn!
Is there anything more Philly than a block party? We think not. That’s why we’re thrilled to be at Campus Philly’s College Fest Block Party. Stop by for some local uni trivia and grab a cheer card (or two) to throw in your college dorm.
We are the Seeds Festival – September 21st
This year marks the 5th Annual We Are the Seeds Philly event at Cherry Street Pier. You can spot us among the fine art, incredible shopping opportunities, demonstrations, live painting, interactive art-making, learning with artist talks, and more.
Phambassador Monthly Happy Hour – Sor Ynez – September 25th
Margaritas and an outdoor patio in early autumn? That’s my kind of vibe. Stop by to meet other Phams at our monthly Pham happy hour at Sor Ynez. We’re honored to join the Point of Transformation Awards ceremony to recognize and celebrate support professionals, support coordinators, and service coordinators who embody the “It’s all about community” motto.
