🌞 Philly Phundamentals: What to Know for Summer 2026
Phambassadors attended this month’s virtual Philly Phundamentals webinar focused on preparing for Summer 2026 in Philadelphia. They got to hear from our partners at SEPTA, City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Soccer, and Wawa Welcome America

Topics included:

• Upcoming summer events & festivities
• Navigating major citywide celebrations
• Tourism insights for 2026
• Tips for representing Philly during a historic year

🎊 Philly Home Opener
The Philadelphia Visitor Center officially kicked off tourism season during National Travel & Tourism Week. Phambassadors were able to be a part of the welcome committee creating a cheer tunnel for VIP guests.

Highlights included:

• Philly-inspired food & drinks
• Live entertainment
• Pep-rally energy
• Networking with tourism leaders

🌎 Cultural Diplomacy Training
In partnership with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, Phambassadors were able to participate in a cultural diplomacy training ahead of Summer 2026.

Participants learned:

• Intercultural communication skills
• How to create welcoming visitor experiences
• Best practices for engaging with international visitors

🏃 Broad Street Run Cheer Zone at Temple University
Phambassadors joined Temple University’s annual cheer zone to cheer on Broad Street Runners.

💚 Philadelphia Runs on Sports
As part of PHL250 programming, Phambassadors were invited to a special conversation with Philadelphia Eagles player and Super Bowl champion Moro Ojomo.

Discussion topics included:

• Sports & Philly culture
• Immigration & identity
• Representation in Philadelphia

✨ Mt. Airy Day Festival
Phambassadors volunteered at the annual Mt. Airy Day celebration at Cliveden.

🏈 Philadelphia Sports Legacy Honors
Phambassadors supported the Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative’s celebration of Philly sports. They were even able to meet award winner Jordan Mailata, a Philadelphia Eagle. 

🎉 52 Weeks of Firsts
Phambassadors also continued volunteering every Saturday as part of the ongoing “52 Weeks of Firsts” initiative.

🦁 Disney’s The Lion King In Concert
Phambassadors received exclusive discounted access to Disney’s The Lion King In Concert featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann.

🎨 Philadelphia Museum of Art
Phambassadors unlocked exclusive savings on General Admission tickets throughout the year.

🪄 Philly Magic Walking Tour
Phambassadors had the opportunity to enjoy one of Philly’s most unique experiences of Philly’s magic walking tour.

Philadelphia Soccer 2026 launched a citywide campaign encouraging Phambassadors to support visiting international teams during the upcoming tournament.

Selected Phambassadors get a once in a lifetime chance to be a part of a special content creation opportunity with Philadelphia Soccer 2026.

Participants get to:

• Represent international teams
