September brought a new season and plenty of new ways [...]
September brought a new season and plenty of new ways for our Pham to get out, explore, connect, and give back across Philadelphia.
From discovering the outdoors and celebrating with fellow Phambassadors to cheering on Temple Football, exploring interactive art, and volunteering at events throughout the city, September was all about staying active and making the most of everything Philly has to offer.

Signature Events & Experiences
🌳 Philly Phundamentals – Exploring Philadelphia Outdoors
This month’s Philly Phundamentals invited Phambassadors to step outside and explore Philadelphia’s great outdoors. Members had the opportunity to discover more of the city’s green spaces, outdoor experiences, and the many ways to enjoy Philly beyond its busy streets.
🍷 Pham Exclusive Cocktail Hour at Revisit 1876
Phambassadors enjoyed an exclusive evening at the Revisit 1876 exhibit, where history, cocktails, and community came together for a special Wine Down Philly experience. Members had the chance to explore the exhibit while relaxing and connecting with fellow members of the Pham.
🎉 Phamily Reunion
September was also a time to bring the Pham together! Our Phamily Reunion gave members a chance to reconnect, meet fellow Phambassadors, and celebrate the community that makes this program so special. We danced with our DJ, played games, looked back at photos from the past year, showed our philly pride in the photo booth, and filled up on BBQ and water ice!

🎨 Ensemble Fall Arts Fest
Phambassadors helped the Philadelphia Visitor Center promote the TKTS discounted ticket booth and engage with festival attendees. Volunteers also helped run a PLINKO game with giveaways and prizes, making this a fun opportunity to connect with visitors and bring extra energy to the event.
🎶 Feria del Barrio – PHL250 Neighborhood Festival
Phambassadors helped celebrate Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary at Feria del Barrio, a vibrant celebration of Latino art, music, food, and culture in El Centro de Oro. Volunteers supported the PHL250 booth and event setup and cleanup while connecting with festivalgoers and bringing Philly spirit to the neighborhood.
🎵 Uptown Rhythm Festival – PHL250 Neighborhood Festival
Phambassadors helped bring Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary celebration to Ogontz Avenue at the Uptown Rhythm Festival, a free evening of live music and community. Volunteers staffed the PHL250 booth, helped with wayfinding, and supported setup and cleanup while connecting with festivalgoers and showing off their Philly pride.
🎬 Movies on the Mall
Phambassadors helped bring some movie-night magic to Independence Mall by welcoming guests and handing out complimentary popcorn during the free outdoor screening of Hamilton at Liberty Garden. Volunteers also provided wayfinding assistance and helped create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for moviegoers under the stars.
💙 Help Give Warrior Families a True Philadelphia Welcome
Phambassadors welcomed Warrior patients and their families to Philadelphia at the Rocky Steps, bringing plenty of Philly spirit as the families arrived for the Emily Whitehead Foundation’s annual Believe Ball. Volunteers cheered, helped guide guests, and created a warm and memorable Philadelphia welcome for this special group of visitors.
🎨 Germantown Arts Festival
Phambassadors helped celebrate Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary at the Germantown Arts Festival, a day filled with art, music, and community along historic Germantown Avenue. Volunteers supported the PHL250 booth, children’s craft area, and event setup and cleanup while bringing plenty of Philly pride to the celebration.
🏃 Miles for Migraine
Phambassadors supported Miles for Migraine by helping with race-day setup, registration, course monitoring, nutrition stations, cheering on participants, and cleanup. It was a great opportunity to support participants and help make the event a success from start to finish.
👋 Greet NRPA Attendees at a Hospitality Booth
Phambassadors welcomed attendees of the National Recreation and Parks Association conference to Philadelphia by serving as hospitality greeters at the Convention Center. It was a great opportunity to show off Philly pride and give visitors a warm Pham welcome!
🎓 Campus Philly CollegeFest Block Party
Phambassadors helped welcome new and returning college students to Philadelphia at Campus Philly’s annual CollegeFest Block Party. Volunteers served as greeters, shared information about free museums and PHLASH rides, and showed students all there is to love and explore in Philly.
🥊 Rocky at 50
Phambassadors helped kick off Rocky Season with a special nighttime projection celebrating 50 years of Rocky at one of Philadelphia’s most iconic locations. Volunteers welcomed visitors, answered wayfinding questions, and helped manage pedestrian flow around the Rocky Steps and Statue.
📍 Rocky Shop Visitor Center
Phambassadors helped welcome visitors to one of Philadelphia’s most iconic destinations—the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Rocky Steps. As greeters, volunteers provided directions, visitor information, and recommendations for nearby attractions while sharing their Philadelphia pride with guests from around the world.
🏳️🌈 Shop Queer Philly – Philly Pride Visitor Center
Phambassadors helped bring the Philly Pride Visitor Center into the community at Shop Queer Philly, an outdoor queer art market featuring local vendors, food, music, and plenty of Philly energy. Volunteers welcomed attendees, shared Visitor Center information and maps, answered questions, and helped showcase all there is to experience in Philadelphia.
Exclusive Discounts & Experiences
🏈 Temple Football
Football season officially arrived, and Phambassadors got to experience the excitement of Temple Football with complimentary tickets to the game. Members could also purchase additional discounted tickets, making it easy to bring along friends and Phamily for a day of Philly sports.
🎨 The Weitzman – Leap Into a World of Color
Phambassadors were invited to jump, wiggle, stretch, and play their way through the Lindy and Akman Family Gallery at The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History.
This interactive experience encouraged visitors to make flowers bloom with their feet, shape clouds with their bodies, and reach for the stars—all while exploring a colorful, hands-on world of art and creativity. And the best part? It was FREE for Phambassadors through October 4!
September gave our Phambassadors plenty of opportunities to show up for Philadelphia, connect with visitors and community members, and support events happening throughout the city.
