What an incredible month it’s been! June launched a historic summer packed with unforgettable moments, and our amazing Phambassadors have been at the center of the action every step of the way. From powering exclusive experiences and supporting some of the season’s biggest events to enjoying volunteer-only discounts and special opportunities, you’ve helped make the beginning of the summer unforgettable!

🎉 Signature Events & Experiences
🌈 Philly Phundamentals: Queer Culture Culture is Philly Culture
For June’s virtual Philly Phundamentals webinar, it focused on how experiences of queer culture are also Philly culture. Phambassadors heard from panelists on how queer culture influence is present in the arts and humanities, sports, and highlights how venues can embrace and welcome everyone.
At this pep rally full of cheer, we celebrated all the accomplishments of the Phambassadors program and its members. We rallied our pep for the biggest summer in Philly tourism history. Announcements included:
- 10,000th Phambassador
- The expansion of Visitor Centers – Benjamin Franklin Parkway and LOVE Park will be expanded with additional amenities and visitor services.
- New Pop-Up sites at Philadelphia International Airport and Reading Terminal Market
- The beginning of the new Youth Phambassador Program!
⚾ Phillies Game
The 10,000th Phambassador member, Shakia Williams, was announced at the Pep Rally and awarded the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In honor of all of the Phambassadors hard work and the accomplishment of reaching 10,000 members, the Philadelphia Phillies gave 250 tickets to Phambassadors to cheer on Shakia and have a fun night out at the bank.
For June’s Pham Happy Hour, it took place at Frankie’s Summer Club, a hidden garden and courtyard nestled on south 15th Street under cool air from a canopy of trees. All Pham members were given a wrist band for extended Happy Hour deals and the chance to put their name in for Chinese Lantern Festival Tickets. The first 100 attendees were given a redeemable voucher for a Spritz, a Highlife, or a cup of soft serve!

👋 Greeter Roles
Stationed at City Hall, The Independence Visitor Center, LOVE Park, and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, volunteers were lighthouses in welcoming visitors and locals alike with maps, advice, and tips and tricks to get around the city. These roles are helping as over 100,000 visitors are coming through the city for the FIFA games alone!
🎹 Music & Morsels Crawl on Broad Street
Phambassadors had the opportunity to serve as paid Event Volunteers and Team Leads at the Music & Morsels Crawl on Broad Street with the North Broad Renaissance, helping bring the summer festival to life while receiving stipends for their participation. Their leadership, flexibility, and dedication helped create a successful event for the North Broad community.
🥇52 Weeks of Firsts
Phambassadors continued volunteering every Saturday as part of the ongoing “52 Weeks of Firsts” initiative.
🎪Ring It On! Harrowgate Summerfest
Volunteers helped bring Harrowgate Summerfest to life by assisting with setup, welcoming guests, supporting activity stations, distributing giveaways, and helping with event breakdown to ensure a successful community celebration.
⚽FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill
Volunteers supported FIFA Fan Festival activities at Lemon Hill by welcoming fans, assisting with activities, providing wayfinding, and helping create an exciting and memorable experience throughout the event.
😆Wadsworth Day Festival
Our volunteers played a key role in the success of Wadsworth Day Festival by assisting with setup, guiding attendees, supporting photo opportunities, handing out giveaways, and helping with cleanup at the end of the day.
🌍Diaspora Village Festival
Volunteers celebrated culture and community at the Diaspora Village Festival in Africatown by welcoming guests, assisting with event activities, distributing giveaways, supporting photo opportunities, and helping with setup and breakdown throughout the day.

🎡Welcome America Media Preview Day
Welcome America invited Phambassadors to experience a sneak peak of the newest addition to the Wawa Welcome America events lineup – Philly Fair 250. At this Media Preview Day, Pham took advantage of food trucks, entertainment, a trapeze, and more!
🦁 Disney’s The Lion King In Concert
Phambassadors received exclusive discounted access to Disney’s The Lion King In Concert featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann.
🎨 Philadelphia Museum of Art
Phambassadors unlocked exclusive savings on General Admission tickets throughout the year.
🪄 Philly Magic Walking Tour
Phambassadors had the opportunity to enjoy one of Philly’s most unique experiences of Philly’s magic walking tour.
📜 The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History
Phambassadors were invited to enjoy a private tour for the new American 250 special exhibit An Untold Story of the American Revolution with light bites & refreshments.
Phambassadors received an exclusive 50% off discount to select performances and a free matinee showing of Basil Biggs.
🛍️Pride Visitor Center
Phambassadors who visited the Pride Visitor Center Gifts from the Gayborhood Gift Shop were able to receive a discount for being a Phambassador volunteer throughout the full month of June!

✈️ FIFA Airport Ambassadors
Phambassadors proudly served as the first Philly faces to welcome visitors at Philadelphia International Airport. They greeted international soccer fans, provided transportation assistance, and shared recommendations for local food, attractions, and activities, helping every visitor feel at home from the moment they arrived.
🚍 Neighborhood Jawnt Bus Tours
Phambassadors were welcomed to experience The Neighborhood Jawnt series that featured 20 unique spotlights on different communities throughout Philadelphia. Tours are continued to be offered through the month of October, 2026.
🫶 Philly LOVE Story Activation at the Fashion District
Visit Philadelphia opened a month long LOVE story activation where people could write a note to tell the world about a moment, place, or person that made you fall in love with Philadelphia. Located in the Fashion District by 9th and Market Street entrance.
🎥 Movies on the Mall
Phambassadors had the opportunity to sit under the stars and view the movie Harriet (2019) with free popcorn and admission!
🏁 Start of the Youth Pham Program
Announced at the Pep Rally, The Youth Phambassador Program kick started in June. With students aged 14-18 from different schools in Philadelphia, the program is aimed at engaging the next generation of hospitality leaders and civic ambassadors. The six-week paid summer work experience wil focus on hospitality, visitor engagement, professional development, and civic leadership.
✨Opening of Pop-Up Sites
In addition to the expansion of the visitor center’s amenities, Pop-Up sites were announced at the Pep Rally. The Pop-Up site at the Philadelphia International Airport was opened, and another at Reading Terminal Market in the beginning of July.

⚾ Phillies Game
